Army veteran, spinster. Fashion dolls, Balkan music, Embroidery. Grammar Police I am the spinster great-auntie I have always known I was meant to be. I am a disabled Cold War veteran. Started life as a Classical Languages major at Fordham University and then just sort of wandered off. I joined the Army and learned whatever hardware and software was available to produce unit NBC SOPs and various training aids. After the Army, I went to work as an investment banking presentation operator. I was, as a supervisor once said, a goddess of office technology: never type when you can scan, never scan when you can download. I can use proofing tools in any language that uses the Roman alphabet, and a few that don't. If you have mapping software that nobody knows how to use or wants to learn, get in touch with me. I love making map graphics. If you have clever analysts whose first language is obviously not English, I can help. I can generally tell by the language what the mistakes are likely to be, and if I can't untangle a phrase, I'm willing to Zoom with the author to nail it down. (I have my own account.) Microsoft Teams, Google Meet—I'm flexible. Move. Shoot. Communicate. Convert files, create templates, edit graphics. Edit, proofread, format.
